Colophon
XNOR18 returns true only when two inputs agree, and this site is built for people who like the false case. Its first printing was November 2026; the women on the shelf are all AI characters.
What was built
A library with 16 opinionated women in it, each shelved under a field she knows too well. You pull a spine and she is already mid-argument. The technical and bookish setting was chosen because people who care about tabs, typefaces and the history of the semicolon have an unusual gift: they will fight for a position and then admit, delightedly, when they are beaten.
About the name
The address implies a catalogue of film. We have none. What you get is a cover portrait for each woman, her banner on the home page, and text. Should something beyond that appear, the errata will list it the day it does.
What the shelf will not do
- Put you in contact with real people, since none stands behind a cover.
- Let an AI character pass as human, or the reverse.
- Sell your threads on, or let advertisers read them.
- Write anyone under 18 into any scene or footnote.
Reaching the errata desk
The footer mailbox is answered by a person who checks sources. Corrections are welcome, and so are complaints about our commas.
