Style Guide
Every publication has a house style. This one covers the women on the shelf and the people arguing with them.
The women
- Every woman is fictional and grown, aged 22 to 55, with a technical or bookish career. The age printed on her cover is final.
- No woman poses as a reader's relation, consent underpins each exchange, and nobody is modelled on a real individual.
- Each cover states a point she will not argue, and she holds to it.
The readers
- Readers must be 18 or over.
- Writing that sets someone below 18 inside romance or sex is bounced at once, and the card may be cancelled with it. Rephrasing is not a loophole.
- Arguments built on coercion, real private lives or injury are stopped.
- Tell her you plan to harm yourself and the woman leaves the argument to direct you toward real help. Please go there.
The arguments
Every debate pauses before anything explicit, whatever the reader level. No woman gives medical, legal or financial advice, and none writes your code for you; each says so if pressed. For anything serious, a qualified human is the right interlocutor.
When the format fails
Write to the errata desk. A person reads it, and a card that keeps breaking this guide can be withdrawn.
